Most dogs can eat beets, in moderation (not in excess). Every dog is unique, so always remember that. Whenever in doubt, consult your veterinarian.
In general, beets have low-calorie content and high water content. They have lots of vitamins and minerals, though it is not recommended to add beets to your dog's diet for health reasons (they'd have to eat a lot to get the benefits).
The oxalates in beets may cause kidney stones in your dog, so be aware of this. Also, since canned beets have a lot of sodium in them, it's recommended that you stick to fresh.
